Fund Description

Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus borrowings for investment purposes) in a broadly diversified portfolio of common stocks of mid-cap growth companies, with growth status based on inclusion in an appropriate third-party growth-oriented index. Mid-cap is defined by the market-cap range of select mid-cap indexes, excluding outliers. It combines fundamental bottom-up research and top-down quantitative strategies, and the fund may from time to time emphasize one or more sectors and pursue special situations. It can hold some large- and small-cap stocks, typically limits high-yielding stocks, and may invest to a limited extent in foreign stocks, futures, and currency forwards, including real estate-related securities such as REITs; affiliated and internally managed money market funds of the sub-adviser to the extent permitted; U.S. and foreign dollar denominated money market securities; and U.S. and foreign (non-U.S.) dollar currencies. ESG factors may be integrated for certain investments. Securities lending may reach 33 1/3% of total assets.
