Fund Description

The fund seeks, before fees and expenses, to match approximately the performance of the Index by investing primarily in securities of issuers included in the Index, which measures 500 U.S. companies selected for market size, liquidity and industry grouping. Under normal circumstances, it invests at least 80% of net assets and borrowings in Index constituents, with up to 20% in securities with similar economic characteristics or intended to track the Index (including other investment companies such as ETFs), or in cash, cash equivalents and U.S. Government securities. It may not hold all Index companies, may trade in anticipation of Index changes, and may concentrate by sector to the extent the Index does.
