Fund Description

The fund was incepted in July 1996 and is managed by Hartford Investment Management Company. The fund seeks a high level of current income, consistent with a competitive total return. The fund primarily invests at least 70% of its portfolio in investment grade debt securities. 80% of the investments in debt securities are in bonds. The fund may invest up to 30% of its total assets in securities rated below investment grade and up to 65% of its total assets in debt securities with a maturity of at least one year. The fund distributes dividends monthly and capital gains annually.
