Fund Description

The fund, under normal circumstances, invests at least 80% of net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in securities of companies with a life science orientation and normally invests at least 25% of total assets in life sciences sector companies such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, health care services, agriculture, cosmetics/personal care, and medical devices. It primarily invests in equity securities of U.S. and foreign companies selected for growth potential, including through IPOs and private placements, and normally invests in issuers from several different countries. Security selection uses a bottom-up approach and considers financially material ESG factors alongside other fundamental investment factors; portfolio management also applies screens that seek to avoid investing in United Nations Global Compact violators and seek to invest at least 80% of net assets in issuers with an MSCI (or equivalent) ESG rating of BB or higher.
