Fund Description

The fund was incepted in September 1987 and is managed by Prudential Investment. The objective of this fund is long-term growth of capital. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in equity related securities of natural resource companies and in asset-based securities. Natural resource companies are companies that own, explore, mine, process or otherwise develop, or provide goods and services with respect to, natural resources. The natural resource companies in which the fund invests may be speculative exploration and development companies. The asset-based securities, in which the fund invests, are securities, the terms of which are related to the market value of a natural resource. Natural resources include precious metals (such as gold silver and platinum), ferrous and non-ferrous metals (such as iron, aluminum and copper), strategic metals (such as uranium and titanium), hydrocarbons (such as coal, oil and natural gases), timber, land, undeveloped real property and agricultural commodities. The fund offers dividends semi-annually. Capital gains, if any, are paid annually.
