Fund Description
The fund was incepted in March 1964 and is managed by Zurich Scudder Investments. The fund seeks the highest total return, a combination of income and capital appreciation, consistent with reasonable risk. The fund invests in growth stocks with a core bond position, providing balance and diversification in a single portfolio. By investing in both stocks and bonds, the portfolio seeks growth with potentially less risk than an all-stock portfolio. Generally, most securities are from U.S. issuers, but the fund may invest up to 25% of total assets in foreign securities. The fund offers dividends quarterly in March, June, September and December. Capital gains are distributed annually.
