Fund Description

The fund was incepted in December 1990 and is managed by Columbia Management Advisors, Inc. The fund seeks long-term capital appreciation by investing in stocks of companies expected to experience long-term, above average earnings growth. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in a broadly diversified portfolio of large capitalization equity securities, primarily common stocks and securities that can be converted into common stocks. The fund may invest up to 20% of its total assets in foreign securities. The fund distributes dividends quarterly and capital gains annually.
