Fund Description

The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets, including any borrowings for investment purposes, in equity securities of U.S. large-capitalization companies, defined as those with market capitalizations of at least $3 billion at the time of investment. Up to 20% of net assets may be invested in foreign equity securities. Equity investments may include common and preferred stock, and the fund may, but is not required to, use derivatives for risk management or as part of its strategies. Assets are allocated among subadvisers under the general supervision of Schwab Asset Management, which monitors and coordinates them, manages cash, and may manage assets during transitions. For temporary defensive or liquidity purposes, the fund may invest up to 100% in cash and short-term instruments.
