Fund Description

The fund was incepted in August 2000 and is managed by Lords Abbett and Co. The fund's objective is to seek income and capital appreciation to produce a high total return. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in fixed income securities of various types. The fund invests in high yield debt securities (sometimes called 'lower-rated bonds' or 'junk bonds' ) and securities issued by non-U.S. entities and denominated in currencies other than U.S. dollars. Investments in high yield debt and non U.S. debt denominated in foreign currencies are each limited to 20% of the total return funds net assets. The dividends are offered monthly and capital gains annually.
