Fund Description

The fund was incepted in November 1987 and is managed by Thornburg Investment Management. The fund's primary goal is to provide as high a level of current income as is consistent with the safety of capital. The secondary goal of the fund is to reduce changes in its share price compared to longer term portfolios. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in obligations issued or guaranteed by the United States Government or its agencies, instrumentalities or authorities and in repurchase agreements. The fund declares dividends daily and pays it monthly. Capital gains are distributed annually.
