Fund Description
The fund was incepted in December 1998 and is managed by Marshall & Ilsley Investment Management. The fund seeks to provide capital appreciation and above-average dividend income. The fund's assets are invested in a broadly-diversified portfolio of common stocks whose market capitalization typically exceeds $8 billion. The adviser structures the portfolio with the goal of yielding at least 1% more income than the S&P 500 Index earns. The fund selects companies that exhibit traditional value characteristics (such as a price-to-earnings ratio less than the S&P 500), higher-than-average dividend yields or lower-than-average price-to-book value. Dividends are declared and paid quarterly. Capital gains are distributed annually.
