Fund Description
The fund was incepted in May 1986 and is managed by New York Life Investment Management. The objective of this fund is to seek capital appreciation along with current income. The fund invests primarily in convertible securities. However, the fund is managed like an equity fund with a focus on securities that show strong prospects for capital appreciation. In selecting convertible securities, the fund advisors may consider credit risk, projected interest return and the convertible's premium relative to the underlying common stock. The fund offers dividends quarterly. Capital gains are distributed in December.
