Fund Description

The fund invests primarily in equity securities of mid-cap companies that the fund's subadvisers select for long-term growth potential. The fund is managed by two subadvisers, each responsible for a portion of the portfolio, and normally invests at least 80% of net assets (plus borrowings) in a broadly diversified portfolio of common stocks of mid-cap companies expected to grow earnings faster than the average company, with up to 20% outside the mid-cap range. Investments may include common and preferred stocks, convertibles, rights, warrants, ADRs, emerging markets, private and newly public companies, and cash; foreign securities are generally capped at 25% of total assets and sector exposure may be significant.
