Fund Description

The fund invests at least 80% of net assets, including borrowings for investment purposes, in common stocks, preferred stocks, and convertible securities of any duration or quality, including securities that are unrated or would be below investment grade if rated, of companies located in India. A company or other issuer is considered located in India if it has substantial ties to India, and the fund may use one or more criteria such as whether the issuer is organized under Indian law, derives at least 50% of revenues or profits from, or has at least 50% of assets in, India, has primary trading markets in India, is headquartered in India, or is a governmental entity. It may invest in depositary receipts and in affiliated or unaffiliated ETFs for cash equitization. It targets companies with sustainable growth potential and may invest substantially in smaller companies and, at times, in one or more sectors.
