Fund Description

The fund invests at least 80% of net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in inflation-indexed bonds and other income-producing securities, and may invest in securities of any maturity. It may invest in inflation-indexed bonds issued by U.S. and non-U.S. governments, agencies or instrumentalities, government-sponsored enterprises, or corporations. It may use total return swaps to substitute for purchasing certain inflation-indexed bonds or to adjust the portfolio's inflation-sensitivity; the use of total return swaps can create leverage. It may also invest in other income securities, repurchase agreements, other funds and ETFs, and hold cash, and may invest up to 15% of total assets in securities not denominated in U.S. dollars; it may also invest in emerging market currencies and emerging market debt instruments. It generally intends to maintain a dollar-weighted average credit quality of A or better and invests primarily in investment-grade securities.
