Fund Description

Incepted in December 2001, the fund is managed by Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company. The fund seeks to achieve long-term growth of capital by investing primarily in a diversified portfolio of equity securities of smaller companies. The fund invests primarily in stocks, securities convertible into stocks and other securities, such as warrants and stock rights, whose value is based on stock prices. Normally, the fund invests at least 80% of its assets in publicly traded stocks of small U.S. companies with market capitalizations, at the time of purchase, that fall within or below the range of companies in the Russell 2000 Index, the fund?s benchmark. The fund distributes dividends and capital gains annually.
