Fund Description
The fund was incepted in January 1996 and is managed by Massachusetts Financial Services Company. The fund's investment objectives are long-term growth of capital, current income and growth of income. The fund invests, under normal market conditions, at least 65% of its net assets in common stocks and related securities of companies with market capitalizations of at least $2 billion that have historically paid dividends. The fund focuses on companies that the fund believes have sustainable growth prospects and attractive valuations based on current and expected earnings or cash flow. The fund also focuses on companies with larger market capitalizations (market capitalizations in excess of $5 billion). A committee of investment research analysts selects portfolio securities for the fund. The committee allocates the fund's assets among various industries. The fund may invest in foreign securities (including emerging market securities) and may have exposure to foreign currencies. The fund offers dividends and capital gains annually.
