Fund Description

The fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing primarily in a diversified portfolio of equity securities. Under normal circumstances, it invests at least 80% of net assets plus borrowings in value equity securities of mid-cap companies and derivatives providing exposure to such securities or related market risk factors, and under normal market conditions intends to invest primarily in dividend-paying securities. It may invest in common and preferred stock, instruments linked to common stock, and convertible securities. It may invest up to 25% of total assets in foreign issuers and in securities denominated in both U.S. dollars and non-U.S. dollar currencies.
