Fund Description

The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in stocks of U.S. small-capitalization companies, defined at purchase by market-cap ranges of companies in the Russell 2000 Index, S&P SmallCap 600 Index, or Dow Jones U.S. Small Cap Total Stock Market Index. It may hold companies that later fall below or grow beyond these ranges, and therefore may have less than 80% in U.S. small-cap stocks at times. The subadviser uses fundamental, bottom-up research seeking long-term capital appreciation by investing in small-cap companies it believes have above-average earnings growth potential at reasonable valuations.
