Fund Description
The fund was incepted in February 1961 and is managed by Gartmore Mutual Fund Capital Trust. The fund seeks long-term capital appreciation. To achieve its objective, the fund invests in common stocks and convertible securities in large-capitalization companies that display consistent and above-average earnings. A company's financial strength and its competitive place in the industry are also considered in the stock-buying process. Dividends are distributed quarterly. Capital gains, if any, are distributed annually.
