Fund Description
The fund was incepted in July 1992 and is managed by Phoenix Investment Counsel. The fund seeks to achieve its objective by investing in a diversified portfolio of primarily short-term fixed income securities having an expected weighted average maturity of three years or less. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its assets in fixed income securities. Principally, the fund invests in investment-grade securities which are rated at the time of investment BBB or above by Standard and Poor's Corporation or Duff & Phelps Credit Rating Company or Baa or above by Moody's Investor's Services or unrated securities determined by the adviser to be of the same comparable, limited quality. The fund declares dividends daily and pays it monthly. Capital gains are declared annually.
