Fund Description
The fund was incepted in May 1995 and is managed by Loomis Sayles. The fund seeks high current income with a secondary objective of capital growth. The fund invests substantially all of its assets in income producing securities (including lower-quality securities, or 'junk bonds') with a focus on U.S. corporate bonds, convertible securities, foreign debt instruments, including those in emerging markets and U.S. government securities. The fund may invest up to 35% of its assets in preferred stocks and dividend-paying common stocks. The fund declares dividends daily and pays them monthly. The fund distributes capital gains annually.
