Fund Description
The fund was incepted in January 1989 and is managed by Loomis, Sayles & Company, L.P. The fund seeks a high current return consistent with preservation of capital. Under normal market conditions at least 80% of the fund's net assets are invested in investments issued or guaranteed by the U.S. government, its agencies or instrumentalities. The fund also invests in investment-grade corporate notes, zero-coupon bonds, foreign bonds denominated in U.S. dollars and asset-backed securities. The fund declares dividends daily and pays them monthly. Capital gains are distributed annually.
