Fund Description

The fund invests primarily in common stocks of companies with significant exposure to developing countries. The securities markets of these countries may be referred to as emerging markets or frontier markets. It may invest in equity securities of any company, regardless of domicile, if the adviser determines that generally 20% or more of assets or revenues is attributable to developing countries. Under normal market conditions, it invests at least 35% of assets in equity and debt securities of issuers domiciled in qualified developing countries. It may invest in debt, including lower rated or unrated "junk bonds," and may invest in nonconvertible debt securities, including issuers of lower rated bonds and government bonds. Management uses multiple portfolio managers overseeing segmented portions of the portfolio, guided by the adviser's judgment and a focus on attractively valued, long-term opportunities.
