Fund Description
The fund was incepted in April 1994 and is managed by Northern Trust Investments. The fund seeks to provide a high level of current income exempt from regular federal income tax by investing in municipal instruments. The fund concentrates on producing conservative tax-free income while managing portfolio risk. The fund's average maturity is between 3 and 10 years. Although the fund invests primarily in investment grade debt obligations, it may invest, to a limited extent, in obligations that are below investment grade (junk bonds). Dividends, if any, are declared daily and paid monthly. Capital gains, if any, are declared and paid annually.
