Fund Description

The fund invests at least 80% of net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in equity securities of large market capitalization companies comparable to those in the Russell 1000 Growth Index; this policy may be changed only with 60 days' prior notice. It invests primarily in common stocks of U.S. companies, and may also use preferred stocks, warrants, and convertible securities, as well as foreign securities (including ADRs and other depositary receipts), derivatives (futures and options), and fixed income, including below-investment-grade. Two sub-advisors manage allocated portions of the fund: American Century uses a bottom-up approach to stock selection, and Los Angeles Capital uses a proprietary quantitative model and optimization process to assign security weights and rebalance periodically.
