Fund Description

The fund invests mainly in common stock of small- and mid-cap companies domiciled, or with primary operations, outside the United States. Under normal market conditions, it invests at least 80% of net assets plus borrowings in equity securities of small- and mid-cap companies and in derivatives and other instruments with similar economic characteristics, and at least 65% of total assets in foreign securities. The portfolio managers evaluate opportunities using a bottom-up approach including fundamental analysis and monitor issuers for changes that may trigger a sale.
