Fund Description

The fund invests primarily in common stock and convertible securities of large- and mid-cap domestic companies, defined as those with market capitalizations above $12 billion and from $2 billion to $12 billion, respectively. It may also invest in primarily investment-grade debt securities, including U.S. Government securities, corporate bonds and notes, and asset- and mortgage-backed securities, and may hold downgraded issues under certain conditions. The fund may write covered call options on equity holdings, invest in ETFs and foreign securities, and hold significant cash or cash equivalents when suitable discounts are not identified. The adviser uses quantitative and fundamental analysis and monitors interest rates, the yield curve, and issuer fundamentals.
