Fund Description

The fund was incepted in September 1990 and is managed by Putnam Investment Management, LLC. The fund seeks capital appreciation. The fund invests mainly in common stocks of European companies that have favorable investment potential. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in equity investments. The fund invests in mid-sized and large companies, although the fund invests in companies of any size. The fund distributes its dividends and capital gains annually.
