Fund Description
The fund was incepted in August 1995 and is managed by UBS Global Asset Management (US) Inc. The fund seeks current income. The fund invests in US government bonds and other bonds of varying maturities, but normally limits its portfolio 'duration' to between one and seven years. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in government fixed income securities. The fund may invest in mortgage-backed securities issued or guaranteed by US government agencies and instrumentalities that are backed by the full faith and credit of the United States. The fund pays dividends monthly and capital gains annually.
