Fund Description

The fund seeks long-term price appreciation. The subadviser normally invests at least 65% of total assets in equity and equity-related securities of companies with market capitalizations above $1 billion at purchase that it believes have above-average growth prospects, generally medium- to large-cap firms with a unique market niche, strong new product profile, or superior management. Primary holdings include common stocks, nonconvertible preferred stocks, and convertible securities. The remainder may include smaller-cap, non-U.S., cash and money market instruments, U.S. government and agency securities, fixed income, and mortgage-related securities. It uses a growth style based on proprietary forecasts and fundamental research, and may invest up to 35% in non-U.S. securities.
