The fund was incepted in November 1987 and is managed by RS Investment Management. The fund seeks capital appreciation. To pursue this objective, the fund primarily invests at least 80% of its net assets in smaller, rapidly growing emerging companies. The fund generally invests in industry segments that are experiencing rapid growth and in companies with proprietary advantages. The fund may invest a portion of its assets in technology and internet-related companies. The fund offers dividends and capital gains both annually.
