Fund Description
The fund was incepted in November 1991 and is managed by Smith Barney Fund Management. The objective of the fund is to seek current income, preservation of capital and liquidity. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its assets in 'high-grade,' fixed-income securities, including corporate debt securities, bank obligations and securities issued by the U.S. government and its agencies and instrumentalities. The fund pays dividends each month from its net investment income. The fund generally makes capital gain distributions, if any, once a year, typically in December.
