Fund Description

The fund was incepted in February 1999 and is managed by Smith Barney Fund Management. The objective of the fund is to seek long-term capital appreciation. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in the stocks of U.S. companies with relatively small market capitalizations, representing several industries and market sectors. The fund may invest up to 10% of its assets in foreign securities. The fund invests directly in foreign issuers or in depositary receipts. The fund generally makes capital gain distributions and pays dividends, if any, once a year, typically in December.
