Fund Description
The fund was incepted in March 1998 and is managed by Deutsche Investment Management Americas Inc. The fund seeks long-term growth of capital. Under normal circumstances, at least 80% of the fund's total assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in common stocks of companies in the health care sector. The fund invests primarily in securities of US companies, but invests in foreign companies as well. The fund may invest up to 20% of its total assets in US Treasury and agency debt securities. The fund intends to pay dividends and capital gains annually in December.
