Fund Description

The fund invests at least 80% of net assets in common stocks and other equity-type securities, including preferred stocks, convertible preferred stocks and convertible bonds, of small market capitalization companies, including growth-oriented stocks. "Small market capitalization" is defined by the investment adviser as companies with market capitalizations within or below the capitalization range of companies included in the MSCI All Country World Small Cap Index or the Russell 2000 Index, measured based on the maximum market capitalization of companies in either index within the last 12 months; the definition may be re-evaluated and adjusted, and the fund may hold securities that later exceed the threshold. It invests a significant portion of assets outside the U.S., including emerging markets. The portfolio is segmented among multiple managers, with selections based on the adviser's judgment and sold when less attractive.
