Fund Description

The fund was incepted in February 2000 and is managed by Smith Barney Fund Management. The objective of the fund is to seek long-term capital appreciation by investing primarily in common stocks. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets in securities of companies principally engaged in providing financial services to consumers and other industries. The fund invests primarily in mid and large-capital companies and also invests in small-capital companies. The fund also invests in foreign as well as domestic issuers. Dividends and capital gain distributions, if any, are distributed once a year, typically in December.
