Fund Description

The fund aims for long-term capital growth primarily by investing in common stocks and convertible securities of U.S. and foreign companies, without regard to their market capitalization. It may also include debt instruments, short-term debt, precious metals, and futures contracts tied to precious metals. Typically, the fund allocates at least 40% of its net assets to foreign investments, also considering derivatives at notional value for compliance purposes. Its investment strategy follows a "value" approach, focusing on acquiring assets at a discount to their intrinsic value to mitigate permanent capital impairment. Up to 25% of total assets may be allocated to a wholly-owned subsidiary that invests in commodities, mainly gold and related instruments.
