Fund Description

The Manager believes companies undergoing Positive Dynamic Change offer the best opportunities, including firms with High Unit Volume Growth or Positive Lifecycle Change such as those benefiting from new regulations, product innovation, or new management. The fund invests in U.S. and foreign equities, including common and preferred stocks and convertible securities, and may invest in unlisted equities. In addition to purchasing securities (taking long positions), the Manager will identify securities it believes will underperform and will sell these securities short on behalf of the fund; it generally maintains a net long position and significant cash and cash equivalents. The fund may also seek to manage volatility through short sales, or by buying or selling put or call options primarily for hedging purposes, may use leverage, and may trade actively. It may concentrate in a single sector such as information technology, health care, or industrials. A portion of assets is sub-advised by Weatherbie Capital under the Manager's oversight.
