Fund Description
Incepted in August 1990 and managed by Fidelity Group, the objective of this high yield bond fund is to seek a high current income. It normally invests primarily in income-producing debt securities, preferred stocks and convertible securities, with an emphasis on lower quality debt securities. It invests in companies in troubled or uncertain financial condition and in domestic and foreign issuers. It potentially invests in non-income producing securities, including defaulted securities and common stocks. The fund offers dividends monthly. Capital gains are distributed in the month of June and December.
