Fund Description
Incepted in July 2003, the fund is managed by J. & W. Seligman & Co. The fund seeks to produce a high level of current income by concentrating its investments in US equity real estate securities, such as REITs. Capital appreciation is a secondary objective. The fund concentrates its investments in the real estate industry, investing under normal circumstances at least 80% of its net assets in equity and equity-related securities issued by "real estate companies," such as real estate investment trusts (?REITs?). The fund pays dividends monthly and distributes capital gains annually.
