Fund Description
The fund was incepted in February 1992 and is managed by Charles Schwab Investment Management, Inc. The fund seeks high current income exempt from federal and California personal income tax, consistent with capital preservation. To pursue its goal, the fund primarily invests in investment grade municipal securities from California issuers. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its assets in municipal securities, the interest from which is free from federal and California personal income tax and federal alternative minimum tax. The fund declares dividends every business day and pays it on the last business day of every month. Capital gains are distributed annually.
