Fund Description
The fund was incepted in May 1998 and is managed by Charles Schwab Investment Management, Inc. The fund seeks high capital growth through an all-stock portfolio. To pursue its goal, the portfolio maintains a defined asset allocation. The portfolio's target allocation is 100% in stock investments with certain percentages for different segments of the stock market. The portfolio invests in other Schwab Funds, particularly three of the Equity Index Funds (Large-cap fund, Small-cap fund and International fund). Through these underlying funds, the fund seeks to track the total returns of various stock market indices. The fund offers dividends and capital gains annually.
