Fund Description
The fund was incepted in December 1991 and is managed by John Hancock Advisers, LLC. The fund seeks a high level of current income consistent with preservation of capital and maintenance of liquidity. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in investment grade bonds (securities rated from AAA to BBB). The fund also invests in mortgage-related securities and certain other derivatives (investments whose value is based on indexes or other securities). Dividends are declared daily and paid monthly. Capital gains, if any, are distributed annually.
