Fund Description

The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in small-cap equity securities within the capitalization range of the Russell 2000 Index. Equity securities may include common and preferred stocks, warrants, certain convertible debt, MLP and REIT securities, depositary receipts, and other equity-like instruments. It invests primarily in equity securities of smaller domestic companies across a wide range of sectors, growth rates and valuations. Using proprietary quantitative models weighing variables such as valuation, earnings and growth prospects, and price and volume trends, it seeks incremental return over its benchmark while managing relative risk, and may invest in foreign and special-situation securities and use futures, options, swaps and other equity derivatives.
