Fund Description

The fund was incepted in March 2002 and is managed by John Hancock Advisers, LLC. The fund seeks a high level of current income consistent with preservation of capital. Maintaining a stable share price is a secondary goal. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in obligations issued or guaranteed by the U.S. government and its agencies, authorities or instrumentalities (?U.S. government securities?).
