Fund Description

The fund invests in financial instruments that ProFund Advisors believes, in combination, should produce daily returns consistent with its Daily Target by obtaining inverse leveraged exposure to an index measuring 500 of the largest U.S.-listed, U.S.-domiciled companies weighted by market capitalization. Under normal circumstances, it targets inverse leveraged exposure to at least 80% of total assets in index components or instruments with similar economic characteristics, primarily using derivatives such as swap agreements and futures contracts. Cash balances tied to derivatives are typically held in high-quality, short-term money market instruments, including U.S. Treasury bills and repurchase agreements. It seeks to remain fully invested and rebalance daily from one NAV calculation to the next.
