Fund Description
Vanguard Intermediate-Term Corporate Fund was incepted in November 1993 and is managed by the Vanguard Group. The objective of the fund is to seek a high level of interest income. The fund invests in a widely diversified group of intermediate-term bonds, most of them issued by corporations with good credit ratings. The fund invests in U.S. Treasury securities. The fund maintains an average maturity between 5 and 10 years. The fund seeks to improve returns by emphasizing individual securities and sectors of the bond market that represent good value based upon historical yield relationships. The fund declares dividends on daily basis and distributes them on the first business day of each month. Capital gains are distributed in December.
