Fund Description
Incepted in October 1982, this fund is managed by Vanguard Group. The objective of this fund is to seek income while maintaining a high degree of stability of principal. The fund invests in a variety of high-quality and, to a lesser extent, medium-quality fixed income securities. The fund also invests to a limited extent in non-investment-grade and fixed income securities, mainly short-term and intermediate-term corporate bonds. The fund declares dividends daily and distributes them on the first business day of each month. The fund distributes capital gains annually in December.
