Fund Description
Vanguard New Jersey Long-Term Tax-Exempt Fund was incepted in February 1988 and is managed by The Vanguard Group. The objective of this fund is to seek a high level of income exempt from both federal and New Jersey personal income taxes. The fund invests primarily in high-quality municipal bonds issued by New Jersey state and local governments and regional governmental authorities. The fund invests at least 80% of the assets in securities that are exempt from federal and New Jersey taxes. Its dollar weighted average nominal maturity is expected to be between 12 and 25 years. The fund declares dividends on daily basis and distributes them on the first business day of each month. Capital gains are distributed annually in December.
